That is one almost-happy kitten.
Miranda and Stumpy Freedom have been very upset with us for the last two weeks. Corrin is teaching a double-paced Calculus course and I’ve had special events or late meetings more often than not, so their steady routine of “breakfast at 6, dinner at 6, with plenty of play- and cuddle-time in between” has been thoroughly disrupted by two or three extra hours of no mamas each day.
When we do get home, as soon as one or the other of us sit down we have an arm full of kitten, with claws gripping the shoulder as if to say, “Stay with me!” once the chin is lowered to rest on those paws, a rumbling purr of self-soothing is soon to be heard.
